Position Overview

Our client, an established and growing construction organization, is seeking a Brand & Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of its marketing, brand, content, and digital strategy.

This individual will serve as the steward of the company's public image and will play an important role in strengthening brand awareness, generating qualified business opportunities, supporting recruiting efforts, and positioning the organization as a leader within its target markets.

This is a hands-on, highly visible role for someone who can think strategically while also executing. The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities, develop creative campaigns, evaluate market trends, and bring informed recommendations to leadership rather than simply waiting for direction.

Core Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Marketing Leadership - 25%

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual marketing strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Help define target markets, ideal clients, and brand positioning.
  • Research industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities.
  • Present proactive marketing recommendations, campaigns, and initiatives to executive leadership.
  • Protect and strengthen the company's reputation and public image.
  • Ensure brand consistency across client touchpoints, communications, advertising, and digital platforms.
  • Develop annual marketing budgets and recommend where marketing investments can generate the greatest return.

Content Strategy, SEO & Thought Leadership - 20%

  • Develop and execute a long-term content strategy that strengthens the company's online presence and supports SEO efforts.
  • Produce professionally written project case studies highlighting client challenges, solutions, project execution, and measurable outcomes.
  • Create project spotlights, blogs, educational articles, and industry insights that establish the organization as a thought leader.
  • Collaborate with project and field teams to capture technical information, lessons learned, and project success stories.
  • Develop content supporting business development, recruiting, award submissions, proposals, client presentations, and website growth.
  • Maintain an organized and searchable library of project narratives, testimonials, photography, and marketing assets.
  • Develop content that complements the strategy and technical work of external SEO and digital marketing partners.

Digital Marketing & Brand Communications - 10%

  • Manage company social media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic content calendar.
  • Publish engaging content highlighting projects, employees, company culture, safety, community involvement, and client success.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and campaign performance.
  • Recommend improvements based on measurable results.
  • Maintain a consistent, professional, and authentic brand voice across communication channels.

Visual Storytelling & Content Creation - 20%

  • Routinely visit active project sites to capture high-quality photography showcasing craftsmanship, professionalism, and company culture.
  • Develop a creative vision for documenting projects from groundbreaking through completion.
  • Capture engaging photography for use across the website, social media, proposals, case studies, recruiting materials, award submissions, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate external photographers, drone operators, and videographers when additional support is appropriate.
  • Develop before-and-after project stories and visual case studies demonstrating the organization's capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Build and maintain an organized digital library of professional photography, drone footage, video, graphics, and other marketing assets.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase employees, company culture, craftsmanship, innovation, safety, and client success through compelling visual content.
  • Ensure significant projects are professionally documented and transformed into long-term marketing assets.

Community Engagement, Recruiting & Brand Development - 10%

  • Identify and recommend sponsorships, networking opportunities, industry organizations, charitable initiatives, and community events that align with company objectives.
  • Coordinate participation in relevant community and industry events.
  • Develop recruiting campaigns designed to attract skilled tradespeople, field leaders, and professional staff.
  • Strengthen the organization's reputation as both an employer of choice and a respected community partner.
  • Build relationships that enhance company visibility and reputation throughout the region.

Website Strategy, Content & Marketing Intelligence - 15%

  • Own the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the company website as a primary digital marketing platform.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the website through new content, photography, video, project case studies, service pages, landing pages, testimonials, and improved user experience.
  • Develop high-quality written and visual content that strengthens the company's online presence while complementing external technical SEO efforts.
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison with external SEO and digital partners, communicating content priorities, enhancement requests, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external partners to implement website improvements that strengthen the brand, improve visitor engagement, and support business development objectives.
  • Review website analytics and performance reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Research competitor websites, emerging AI tools, construction industry trends, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Develop regular marketing reports covering campaign performance, website performance, content effectiveness, market observations, and strategic recommendations.
