Job description

Position Summary:

Content Technicians create and deliver high-quality print letter copy services. They develop and maintain digital content programs for customer mailings, as well as gather, organize, edit, and proof customer information for print production (not web content). The role requires managing multiple projects simultaneously while effectively communicating with internal departments to ensure accurate job instructions and customer specifications

Essential Functions:

  • Compile client content, including letter copy, graphics, and media assets, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
  • Set up letter composition using variable data programming and GMC/Quadient Inspire.
  • Program, test, and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate technology.
  • Proofread content, verify formatting, and review variable letter copy for accuracy.
  • Interpret instructions contained in the job order to write programming logic and data transformations.
  • Update and maintain content library.
  • Audit production proofs prepared by others for quality and accuracy.
  • Serve as liaison with clients, account management, IT group, and operations teams.
  • Estimate project timelines and campaign completion dates
  • Collaborate with Client Services, vendors, and clients during sales and solution development phases.
  • Maintain internal documentation related to issues, resolutions, usage topics, and training.
  • Create image proofs and revise files as needed
  • Actively participate and support process improvement.
  • Provide off-hours support as required.

Essential:

  • Proven editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency with computers and aptitude for learning new applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Possess functional knowledge of font characteristics with MAC or PC OS.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with print manufacturing processes.


  • Associate Degree in Graphics Art/Design, Computer Science-related technical discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years’ professional Content Development experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Direct Mail is a plus.
