Job description

Job Highlights
  • Develops and executes customer-focused communications and digital content that support the customer journey across the Americas. The role partners with business units and commercial teams to identify customer stories, product and application successes, trade show opportunities, and market-relevant topics, then activates them through clear, on-brand content across owned and social channels.
  • Supports proactive communication by turning business priorities into measurable content programs that strengthen customer engagement, improve regional visibility, and support business growth. The role manages editorial planning, regional social media activation, digital content coordination, and performance reporting, while aligning local execution with LANXESS brand and messaging standards.
  • Contributes to internal communications activities, helping translate business priorities, achievements, and organizational updates into clear and engaging employee communications.
  • Ability to manage competing requests, coordinate input from commercial and communications stakeholders, and decide how best to adapt stories for social media, web, owned channels, trade shows, and other customer-facing touchpoints.
  • The position requires creativity, strong project management, and data-informed decision-making to improve reach, engagement, content quality, and customer relevance while escalating sensitive, reputational, or media-related topics to the Strategic Communications Manager.

Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration or a closely related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to develop clear, on-brand written, visual, and multimedia content for digital, social, and owned channels.
  • Partner with business units and commercial teams to identify customer stories, product/application successes, trade show opportunities, and market-relevant topics.
  • Manage regional social media activation, including content calendars, publishing coordination, audience targeting, employee advocacy support, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop clear and engaging internal communications content that helps employees understand business priorities, organizational updates, and company achievements.
  • Ability to use content, social media, and customer journey analytics to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
  • This is a HYBRID role with an on-site presence required in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office at a minimum of 3-4 days per week every week.
