Job description

Content Creator & Social Lead, Menswear

About the Company

Paul Fredrick is a heritage menswear brand with a mission to inspire men to express their personal style through our premium, high-quality menswear. Our clothes help our customers to stand out, earn compliments, and feel their best throughout all the moments of their active lives.

Our history began in 1951, when the Fleetwood Shirt Company was established as a respected maker of high-quality private label dress shirts for America’s premium menswear retailers. In 1986, we launched the Paul Fredrick brand to sell directly to consumers with a bold idea: deliver impeccably made dress shirts straight to the men who care how they show up. Since then, we have grown into a full collection of elevated essentials and fashion, all crafted with character and built to fit.

With an engaging and collaborative work environment, we embrace a culture of curiosity, customer focus, and continuous improvement. As we approach the 40th anniversary of the Paul Fredrick brand, we are charting an exciting path to growth with new channels and marketing activations, and we are looking for passionate and curious people to join our team.

Position Oerview

We're looking for a content-first creator to lead and build our social presence at Paul Fredrick.

This is not a traditional social media manager role. We're looking for someone who already knows how to make content that performs. Someone who lives in the world of TikTok and lnstagram, understands menswear culture, and can consistently turn ideas into engaging content.

Paul Fredrick is an established menswear brand with over 40 years of history. This is an opportunity to help shape the next chapter of how we show up on social media.

You'll report directly to the Creative Director and work closely with Marketing to bring that vision to life.  This is a newly created full-time position within the organization, and will be a 3-month term assignment.  At the conclusion of the term, there may be an opportunity to be considered for continued employment based on your impact and our evolving needs; however, this is not guaranteed.

What You'll Do

Create Content

  • Concept, shoot, and edit short-form video for lnstagram and TikTok
  • Produce content primarily on iPhone with a strong understanding of platform-native formats
  • Develop ideas rooted in product, styling, and menswear culture
  • Execute quickly and consistently, with a focus on what performs

Own Social Output

  • Manage and publish content across lnstagram and TikTok
  • Play a key role in launching and growing our TikTok channel
  • Maintain a consistent cadence of content, evolving as we scale

Lead Content on Campaign Shoots

  • Concept social-first video ideas ahead of seasonal shoots
  • Capture content on set alongside the Creative Director
  • Ensure we leave with a strong library of usable, high-performing content

Extend Content Beyond the Shoot

  • Identify and create content opportunities between campaigns
  • Brief internal team members when needed to capture additional footage
  • Edit and publish content on an ongoing basis

Capture & React in Real Time

  • Attend marketing events to capture and post content
  • Turn around edits quickly for timely publishing
  • Monitor and repost influencer content with strong judgment and speed

Community & Performance Awareness

  • Engage with the audience through comments and DMs to help build an active community
  • Pay attention to content performance and use it to inform and evolve future ideas

How You'll Work

You'll work closely with the Creative Director and Marketing Director to align on seasonal direction, product priorities, and overall brand voice.

While this role comes with a high level of ownership, it is also highly collaborative. You'll be expected to bring ideas forward, iterate quickly, and refine content based on feedback and performance.

We're looking for someone who can operate independently while staying closely aligned with the creative vision of the brand.

What Success Looks Like

  • You take ownership of this role and operate with a high level of independence
  • You successfully launch and grow our TikTok into a meaningful channel
  • You increase engagement across lnstagram and Facebook
  • You establish repeatable content formats that consistently perform
  • You create a steady flow of content that feels relevant, engaging, and aligned with menswear culture
  • You help shape a social presence that people follow not just to shop, but to engage with and learn from within menswear
  • This role offers meaningful autonomy, paired with clear creative direction and collaboration.

What We're Looking For

  • A proven content creator with a strong portfolio of short-form video work
  • Demonstrated ability to concept, shoot, and edit content that performs on TikTok and/or lnstagram
  • Deep familiarity with social trends, formats, and pacing
  • Strong creative instincts, taste level, and a clear point of view
  • Comfortable shooting on iPhone in a fast-paced content environment
  • Ability to generate ideas consistently and execute at a high level
  • Strong interest in menswear, styling, and fashion culture
  • 3+ years creating social content (for a brand or personally), with a portfolio that demonstrates results

You should already be creating content, whether for a brand or personally, and have work that clearly demonstrates your ability to engage an audience.

Nice to Have

  • Comfortable appearing on camera
  • Basic design skills for stories or simple graphics
  • Examples of content that has driven strong engagement or growth

Details

  • Salary: up to $90K per year
  • This is a newly created full-time position within the organization, and will be a 3-month term assignment.  At the conclusion of the term, there may be an opportunity to be considered for continued employment based on your impact and our evolving needs; however, this is not guaranteed.
  • Location: NYC or Philadelphia area preferred
  • Travel required (approx 20 days a year)
  • Reports to: Creative Director

Application Requirements

Please include links to social accounts or content you've created that demonstrate your ability to concept, shoot, and edit short-form video.

Applications without work samples will not be considered.
