About iA Global Asset Management
iA Global Asset Management (iAGAM) is one of Canada's leading asset managers, overseeing more than $100 billion in assets under management across a broad range of retail and institutional mandates. iAGAM is the investment arm of iA Financial Group (IAFG), a leading Canadian insurer and one of Canada's largest non-bank wealth managers, with approximately $340 billion in assets under administration and management. Our breadth of investment capabilities enables us to deliver sophisticated, customized solutions aligned with the evolving needs of clients, advisors, consultants, and distribution partners.

Build the future with us

We are seeking an experienced investment professional to join the Investment Strategy and Client Solutions team. Reporting to the Head of Investment Strategy and Client Solutions, this role serves as a key link between iAGAM's investment expertise and the needs of clients and distribution partners. The successful candidate will combine investment knowledge, relationship-management skills and strong communication capabilities to support client engagement, retention and business growth.

The role spans client portfolio management, business development support and investment communication. The successful candidate will work closely with portfolio managers, client relationship and business development teams, product specialists, marketing partners and other internal stakeholders to deliver timely, consistent and commercially relevant investment support.

What you'll accomplish with us

Client engagement and relationship management

  • Support and participate in client, prospect, advisor and consultant meetings, including investment reviews, due diligence discussions and industry events.

  • Build a strong understanding of client needs, investment objectives and service expectations, and help translate them into effective investment solutions and engagement plans.

  • Provide responsive, high-quality support for recurring and ad hoc client requests, helping to strengthen relationships, retain assets and identify opportunities to deepen partnerships.

Investment expertise and communication

  • Act as a product specialist across fixed-income, equity and multi-asset strategies, communicating portfolio positioning, market context, investment processes and competitive differentiators to audiences with varying levels of investment knowledge.

  • Create, review and maintain client-ready materials, including presentations, investment summaries, portfolio commentaries, due diligence materials and monthly or quarterly reports.

  • Contribute to thought leadership, conferences, webinars, roadshows and other initiatives that strengthen iAGAM's brand and bring our investment perspectives to market.

Business development and opportunity support

  • Partner with business development, consultant relations and distribution teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from prospect identification and qualification to solution development, presentation and follow-up.

  • Prepare and coordinate high-quality RFPs, RFIs and DDQs, ensuring responses clearly reflect client needs and iAGAM's investment capabilities.

  • Conduct market, competitor and opportunity analysis to inform business development priorities and help identify potential areas of growth.

  • Support pipeline discipline by maintaining accurate opportunity information, producing management reporting and facilitating timely communication across stakeholders.

Execution and cross-functional collaboration

  • Maintain institutional databases and contribute to the ongoing improvement of RFP, presentation, client-reporting and content-management processes.

  • Collaborate with portfolio management, sales, product, marketing, legal, compliance and client service partners to deliver accurate, consistent and timely materials.

  • Coordinate investment-related client and sales events, including planning, content development, stakeholder preparation and follow-up.

  • Identify practical opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, quality control and scalability across the team's activities.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We're looking for someone who:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics or a related field. A master's degree is an asset.

  • CFA, CIM or another relevant investment designation, or meaningful progress toward one.

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in asset management, institutional relationship management, business development, investment consulting, portfolio research or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of global financial markets, investment products and institutional investor and consultant needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly and confidently in writing and in presentations.

  • Excellent client-service, relationship-management, interpersonal and listening skills, with sound judgment and a solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive, collaborative and accountable approach, with the confidence to work across functions and with senior stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, given regular interactions with clients and colleagues across Canada and the development of bilingual client materials.

  • Previous registration, or the ability to become registered, as a dealing representative, associate advising representative or advising representative is an asset.

  • Advanced proficiency in French, as the candidate will be required to communicate daily with English- and French-speaking clients and partners across Canada via email and phone calls.
