About the role.
McCain's Corporate Development & Strategy (CD&S) agenda continues to evolve, creating exciting opportunities to shape the future direction of the business. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy, the Manager, Corporate Development & Strategy will play a key role in supporting enterprise strategy development, evaluating growth and investment opportunities, and advancing critical strategic initiatives. This position works across a broad range of projects, including corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, investment evaluations, market intelligence, and business case development, partnering closely with regional and functional leaders across McCain's global organization.
What you'll be doing.
  • Partner with CD&S leadership to develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks that inform key business decisions.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to support enterprise strategy development and execution.
  • Evaluate acquisition, investment, and growth opportunities through market assessments, business case development, and investment thesis formulation.
  • Build and maintain operational, financial, valuation, and transaction models to support decision-making.
  • Support all phases of M&A and investment activities, including diligence, project management, stakeholder coordination, presentations, and integration planning.
  • Collaborate with regional and functional teams to develop and assess strategic plans for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Perform industry, market, competitor, and sector research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to McCain's strategic priorities.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials, presentations, and recommendations for leadership and Board-level discussions.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and external advisors, including investment bankers, consultants, legal counsel, and accounting professionals.
  • Support strategic investments and early-stage business initiatives on an as-needed basis.
What you'll need to be successful.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience building complex financial, valuation, strategic, or transaction models.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently manage workstreams and analyses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentation development.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt in a dynamic, evolving business environment.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and geographies.
  • Curious, creative, and proactive mindset with a passion for strategic problem-solving.

About the team.
The Corporate Development & Strategy team is responsible for supporting McCain's long-term growth agenda through enterprise strategy development, market analysis, investment evaluation, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning. Working in a highly collaborative pooled-resource model, the team partners with senior leaders, regional teams, and functional experts across the global organization to address critical business opportunities and challenges. The Manager, Corporate Development & Strategy will have exposure to executive leadership and play a meaningful role in shaping key strategic decisions.

Compensation Package:$97,500.00 -$130,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
