Job description

The Role
K1 is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team and help bring the firm's brand to life across every channel. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this person will touch nearly every dimension of what we do - producing design-forward digital publications and microsites, developing portfolio company case studies, and creating polished, on-brand multimedia assets for an audience of founders, executives, and investors.
This is not a role where you wait for direction. You'll contribute across the full marketing function and take on real ownership quickly - written, visual, and strategic. The right candidate is a natural storyteller with a design eye that shows in everything they touch - equally comfortable building a page in WordPress as crafting the narrative that lives on it, and energized by turning great content into something people actually want to read and look at.
Key Responsibilities
Design, Web, & Visual Production
  • Bring a sharp design eye to everything you touch - from social posts and one-pagers to event materials and internal templates
  • Build, update, and maintain pages across K1's website, including event takeaways, portfolio spotlights, and editorial pages - with a strong UI/UX sensibility for how content is structured and experienced
  • Contribute to design and front-end development of K1's custom microsites, working with external vendors on complex projects; Figma experience a plus

Digital Reports & Flagship Publications
  • Play a central role in producing K1's digital bi-annual firm reports - design-forward, data-rich publications that synthesize activity across investments, transactions, talent, events, sustainability, and portfolio performance
  • Gather and organize firmwide data inputs, translate them into clear story arcs and visual narratives, and bring them to life in polished, aesthetically compelling final products

Content & Editorial
  • Write and edit across formats - LinkedIn posts, thought leadership, portfolio company spotlights, and firmwide communications - with a storyteller's instinct for turning raw content into something compelling
  • Manage the editorial calendar and monitor content performance, evolving strategy based on real engagement data

K1 Accelerate & Events
  • Support visual design, content production, and social amplification for K1's flagship events - gatherings that bring together portfolio executives, founders, and industry leaders across 40+ events annually worldwide.

AI & Process Innovation
  • Actively leverage AI tools to raise the speed and quality of marketing workflows - from content drafting to data synthesis to design iteration - without ever outsourcing your judgment
  • Bring a builder's mindset to recurring processes: identify inefficiencies and build repeatable systems that make the next cycle faster without sacrificing excellence

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree - first-generation college students are encouraged to apply
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, design, communications, or a related field - experience at a creative agency, consumer brand, or in finance a plus
  • Strong design sensibility with hands-on experience in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite - you think visually and it shows in your work
  • Solid editorial instincts - able to understand, synthesize, and shape the written content that powers our website, publications, and reports
  • Analytical and organized - able to gather, structure, and synthesize large volumes of data into clear, compelling outputs
  • Web skills that match your ambition: whether you're comfortable in WordPress, fluent in HTML/CSS, or capable of light front-end development - let us know
  • Self-directed and accountable; you set a high bar for your own work and don't need to be reminded to meet it
  • A positive, team-first attitude - proactive, solutions-oriented, and no task beneath you

Benefits
K1 offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with profit sharing
  • Unlimited PTO, plus holidays
  • Electric vehicle (EV) stipend
  • Daily catered lunch in-office
  • Company and team outings
  • Volunteer opportunities and donation matching
