Made in the Shade is a leading window treatment franchise with more than 150 locally owned locations across the United States and Canada. Our Home Office team supports our franchise owners with marketing, creative assets, digital content, technology, and operational resources designed to help each local business grow.
We are hiring a full-time, in-office Social Media & Content Design Specialist to join our San Antonio Home Office team. This role is responsible for creating social media content, designing branded marketing materials, capturing and editing photo/video content, and supporting creative requests for both the Home Office and our franchise owners.
This is not a remote, freelance, hybrid, or contract position. Applicants must be able to work in our San Antonio office Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
  • Create and schedule social media content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Write captions, assist with content calendars, and help manage comments and direct messages
  • Design branded assets in Canva and Adobe tools, including flyers, postcards, brochures, social graphics, ads, one-pagers, business cards, newsletters, and event materials
  • Create and update Home Office resources such as slide decks, support documents, owner guides, newsletters, conference materials, and internal marketing assets
  • Support franchise owners with custom marketing materials such as print ads, leave-behinds, coupons, lookbooks, folders, gift certificates, and social media graphics
  • Assist with ad creative for Facebook Ads, Performance Max campaigns, franchising campaigns, and other marketing initiatives
  • Capture photo and video content at local job sites, trainings, conferences, and Home Office events
  • Edit photos and short-form video content for social media and marketing use
  • Help prepare and organize creative assets, Canva templates, shared folders, and brand resources
  • Communicate with internal team members, franchise owners, vendors, and marketing support staff on creative requests
  • Assist with occasional owner announcements, blog graphics, support articles, and outside marketing opportunities
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, graphic design, marketing, or a related creative role
  • Strong Canva design skills
  • Experience with Adobe tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or similar programs
  • Comfortable creating content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Experience scheduling social media content and managing a content calendar
  • Ability to create short-form video content, reels, and basic video edits
  • Comfortable taking photos and videos in office, event, and on-site environments
  • Strong eye for brand consistency, layout, typography, color, and clean design
  • Ability to manage multiple creative projects and deadlines at once
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
