Job description

Position Objective

Work with clients to establish detailed profiles and procedures that properly represent their export/import process. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Job Responsibility Description

Main Activities

Keep records on the destination, weight, and charges on all incoming and containers. Verify check rate charges by means of rate charts.

Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.

Contact Transportation Dispatch Associate to make arrangements and to issue instructions for loaded and empty containers.

Verify information, operate data entry software such as VIntermodal and Imexnet, and prepare documents.

Requesting further information for documents that are deemed incomplete.

Verifying, correcting, deleting unnecessary data, or combining data from several sources before entering into the system.

Access online browser-based systems as per customer requirements and other affiliated Business entities.

Scan photos, blueprints and other documents for data input into document management systems such as VIntermodal.

Maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments from and to the warehouse and or container yard utilizing VIntermodal and Imexnet.

Accurately tracks and invoices chassis usage days for import and export operations.

Partner with Billing Associates to process invoices for customers and/or resolve invoice discrepancies.

Analyze inventory reports to ensure cargo and/or containers are compliant with allotted free times.

Oversee and expedite the order life cycle of containers to meet and exceed department KPI's.

Ensure shipment charges are processed through company-approved forms of payment such as CargoSprint, PayCargo, credit, and checks.

Work with Payables Associates on providing relevant data and documentation for vendor cost processing.

Utilize web-based resources and company systems to notify customers of incoming and outgoing containers.

Coordinating with compliance, transportation, warehouse, and terminal teams within the organization for smoothly receiving/shipping of containers.

Any other task as required by the Customer Service Supervisor / Manager.

Monday - Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm 40 hours a week.
