Job description

We are seeking a professional, bilingual Cashier / Receptionist / Dispatch candidate to support daily office and dispatch operations in a busy scrapyard/recycling environment.

This is a multi-functional position, so the ideal candidate must be an excellent multitasker who can remain organized and professional while handling customers, dispatch communication, emails, and general administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle dispatch communication and coordination, including overseeing container activity.

  • Manage a high volume of daily email correspondence — approximately 50 emails per day related to dispatch and container coordination.

  • Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, vendors, and internal personnel.

  • Assist customers who arrive onsite and provide professional front-office/customer service.

  • Perform cashier duties and accurately process customer transactions as needed.

  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct communication appropriately.

  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and electronic correspondence.

  • Coordinate information between the office, dispatch, and operations teams.

  • Maintain organization while managing multiple priorities at the same time.

  • Assist with additional administrative or operational duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish – REQUIRED

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional demeanor and presentation.
