Position Overview
North-West College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in locating and reconnecting with students and families whose contact information is outdated, incomplete, or no longer valid. This role is critical to supporting student enrollment, attendance initiatives, family engagement, and compliance with school reporting requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong research skills, experience using public records and data-search tools, and the ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with students and families.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct skip tracing and research activities to locate current contact information for students, parents, and guardians.
• Utilize databases, public records, online research tools, and social media platforms to verify addresses, phone numbers, and email information.
• Support student enrollment, re-enrollment, attendance recovery, and retention efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of outreach efforts and research findings.
• Contact families through phone, email, text, and mail to verify student information.
• Work closely with Enrollment, Attendance, Counseling, and Administrative teams to support student engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with FERPA and all applicable privacy and confidentiality regulations.
• Prepare reports on outreach activities, successful contacts, and unresolved cases.
• Update student records in school information systems and databases.
Qualifications Required
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Experience in skip tracing, student outreach, enrollment services, collections, investigations, or related fields.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and student information systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential student and family information with discretion.
Preferred
• Experience in K-12 schools, charter schools, higher education, or pro-profit organizations.
• Knowledge of student attendance and enrollment processes.
• Familiarity with skip tracing software and public records databases.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
