Job description

Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist
Consumer Packaged Goods | Hybrid (3 Days In?Office)
A growing organization in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) space is seeking an AR Specialist with strong experience in deductions processing. This role is highly focused on researching, resolving, and reconciling customer deductions and working closely with Sales and Finance to ensure accurate cash application and trade spend reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the deductions process from receipt through resolution, with a strong focus on CPG trade spend
  • Review, analyze, and accurately code customer deductions by account, program, and promotional event
  • Research short pays, chargebacks, billbacks, and other trade?related deductions
  • Partner closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Finance to validate deductions and resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile trade spend and deductions against forecasts and financial reporting
  • Investigate invalid or unplanned charges and communicate findings and resolution steps
  • Serve as a point of contact for deduction?related inquiries internally and externally
  • Maintain organized backup documentation for deductions, promotions, and trade agreements
  • Support continuous improvement of AR and deductions processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in AR, deductions, trade spend, collections, or accounting, preferably within Consumer Packaged Goods
  • Demonstrated experience managing high?volume deductions and promotional spend
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast?paced environment
  • Strong communication and cross?functional collaboration skills
  • Proactive, analytical, and solution?oriented mindset
Pay Details: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
