As a key member of the Verily Me team, you will help build and scale the central "front door" experience across Verily's entire consumer ecosystem. Verily Me serves as the unified entry point connecting users seamlessly to our consumer offerings, chronic disease management programs, and cutting-edge clinical research solutions.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager who is deeply passionate about user experience and eager to build a highly polished, consumer-grade product. In this role, you won't just maintain existing systems; you will actively iterate, experiment, and refine a live product offering.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and expand a team of 8-10 software developers.
  • Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute on the team's strategic goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and make critical decisions to meet project milestones.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience of a team of at least 10 software developers.
  • Proven experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • Full stack web development experience.
  • Strong expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP or AWS
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing development teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $184,500 - $277,000 + bonus + benefits + equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
