Consumer Insights & Analytics Specialist
Summary
The Consumer Insights & Analytics Specialist plays a critical role in equipping all departments, including marketing, editorial, supply chain, acquisitions, and operations with timely, accurate, and actionable data. This role focuses on translating consumer behavior, sales trends, and inventory performance into insights that inform strategic decisions across product launches, campaign execution, demand forecasting, and long-term growth planning.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, consumer insights, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL; experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Experience working with e-commerce, retail, marketing, or supply chain data preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and interpret large datasets to identify meaningful trends.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to responsibly and effectively incorporate AI tools into data analysis and workflow optimization.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Consumer & Marketing Insights
    1. Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, campaign results, and website analytics to uncover actionable consumer insights.
    2. Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs across digital campaigns, email marketing, retail channels, direct-to-consumer sales, and product launches.
    3. Partner with marketing to evaluate campaign effectiveness, audience segmentation, pricing strategies, and promotional performance.
    4. Support audience development initiatives by identifying trends in purchasing patterns, customer retention, and lifetime value.
    5. Provide insights that inform content strategy, launch timing, and product positioning.
  2. Demand Planning & Supply Chain Analytics
    1. Monitor inventory levels, sell-through rates, and product velocity to proactively identify replenishment needs or potential overstocks.
    2. Build and maintain demand forecasting models based on historical performance, seasonality, new product introductions, and promotional plans.
    3. Support purchasing, print planning, and fulfillment teams with accurate data inputs and reporting.
    4. Assist in identifying operational efficiencies through improved reporting and performance tracking.
  3. Data Management & Integrity
    1. Maintain clean, structured, and validated datasets across sales, marketing, and operational systems.
    2. Establish consistent data definitions, governance standards, and reporting processes.
    3. Improve data workflows between e-commerce, ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms.
    4. Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and enhance internal analytics capabilities.
    5. Leverage AI tools appropriately to improve data analysis efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and reporting automation.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration
    1. Serve as a trusted analytics partner to marketing, supply chain, editorial, operations, and leadership teams.
    2. Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
    3. Support product development and release strategies with performance research and post-launch analysis.
    4. Contribute to strategic planning conversations with reliable insights and scenario modeling.
  5. Other duties as assigned
