Job description

The Digital Marketing Specialist [Reputation Management] supports the execution of UVA Health's enterprise reputation management strategy by enhancing the health system's digital presence and strengthening patient engagement across online platforms. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to digital feedback while supporting initiatives that improve patient reviews, online ratings, provider visibility, and location accuracy.
Working collaboratively with marketing, communications, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders, the Digital Marketing Specialist helps manage reputation platforms, optimize provider and location listings, and identify trends and opportunities related to patient sentiment and consumer experience. This position supports local search optimization efforts, digital directory management, and ongoing reputation improvement initiatives across platforms such as Google Business Profiles, Press Ganey, Healthgrades, and other healthcare review sites.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented digital marketing professional with strong communication skills, an understanding of online reputation management, and the ability to analyze digital feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. This individual is comfortable managing multiple priorities, collaborating across teams, and staying current on evolving digital platforms, healthcare consumer behaviors, and best practices that support a positive and trusted UVA Health online presence.
Key Responsibilities
Reputation Management Strategy & Execution
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of UVA Health's systemwide reputation management program.

  • Assist in developing and executing strategies to increase patient review volume and improve online ratings across providers, locations, and service lines.

  • Monitor online reviews and feedback across major platforms, including Google, Press Ganey, Healthgrades, and other healthcare review sites.

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to patient sentiment and online reputation.

  • Help to m aintain and optimize provider and location listings across Google Business Profiles and other digital directories.

  • Assist with listing verification, audits, and ongoing directory maintenance efforts.

  • Support local search optimization initiatives that improve visibility in search engines and map-based platforms.

  • Stay informed on emerging trends, platform updates, and best practices related to healthcare reputation management, local search, and consumer behavior.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the digital space. Two years of email platform management or email marketing campaigns preferred. Similar experience in the web or analytics space may qualify. Strong understanding of HTML and CSS required. Excellent writing and communications skills are required.
Licensure: None.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare marketing, healthcare operations, patient experience, or healthcare reputation management.

  • Experience with reputation management platforms such as Press Ganey.

  • Knowledge of Google Business Profiles, local SEO, online directories, and listings management.

  • Experience working with patient satisfaction, consumer feedback, or customer experience programs.

  • Familiarity with healthcare provider directories, physician data management, or digital patient acquisition strategies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The pay range for this role is $65,208.00 - $93,161.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
