Are you a results-driven sales professional with estimating skills and the drive to build your own pipeline? At Fitzpatrick Painting & Construction, we’re looking for an Estimator who doesn’t wait for leads — they go out and create them.

This role combines sales, estimating, and proactive lead generation. The right candidate will thrive in a position that blends relationship building, technical estimating, and business development — with strong earning potential and opportunities for growth.


What You’ll Be DoingLead Generation & Business Growth
  • Identify and develop new project opportunities to grow the sales pipeline

  • Qualify incoming inquiries and convert them into active opportunities

  • Proactively pursue leads through networking, outreach, and follow-up

  • Maintain consistent contact with prospects to move opportunities forward

Sales & Client Management
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Present proposals and clearly communicate project value

  • Upsell and cross-sell services where appropriate

  • Ensure an excellent client experience from first contact through project start

Estimating & Proposal Development
  • Conduct site visits, take measurements, and scope projects

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for painting and construction work

  • Create clear, competitive proposals balancing quality, feasibility, and profitability

Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with field crews and operations to ensure estimates translate smoothly into executed projects

  • Provide feedback to marketing and leadership on lead quality and market opportunities

What We’re Looking ForExperience / Background
  • Proven experience in sales or business development (construction industry experience is a plus but not required)

  • Estimating or construction experience is helpful but not required — we can train the right person

  • Ability to understand project scope, materials, and timelines

  • Willingness to travel locally (Eugene to Portland area, occasional coastal projects)

  • Ability to manage multiple proposals and sales opportunities at once


Compensation & Benefits

On-Target Earnings: $75,000 – $250,000+ annually
Compensation is based on a combination of base salary and commission, allowing top performers to significantly increase earnings.
