Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time, W-2

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with overtime and occasional overnight travel as needed

Position Summary

Kaminski Construction is seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to oversee residential and commercial construction and renovation projects. This position requires strong carpentry skills, leadership experience, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate crews and communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with framing, interior and exterior renovations, job site supervision, and maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise on-site construction crews
  • Perform and oversee framing, renovation, and finish carpentry work
  • Ensure projects are completed according to scope, schedule, and quality standards
  • Coordinate daily with Project Managers and subcontractors
  • Verify measurements, installations, and overall workmanship
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Complete daily progress updates, timesheets, and project documentation
  • Identify material, equipment, and tool needs for projects
  • Communicate changes in scope or unexpected job site conditions
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Provide project photos and updates throughout project duration
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and professionally
  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and organization
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of carpentry or construction experience preferred
  • Experience leading or supervising crews preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to read measurements and follow construction plans and specifications
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer and mobile app experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and work outdoors for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and active construction environments

Kaminski Construction was born in 2008 at the beginning of the Great Recession. We landed our first job and began to grow, as other construction companies were laying workers off. We have continued to grow and expand our services and now field a crew of about 50 employees.
