Commercial Multi-Family Construction Superintendent



Justus Construction is seeking an experienced Multifamily Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial multifamily and mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in site development, quality control, scheduling, safety, and trade partner coordination. This role is critical to delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Essential Functions

  • Provide on-site coordination of all manpower, materials, equipment, and site logistics in conjunction with the Master Schedule
  • Perform quality control inspections respective to Plans, Specifications, Submittals, RFIs, Punch Out, and best practices as required through all stages of construction. All inspections to be tracked via Procore
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness of project throughout all phases of construction
  • Monitoring general safety practices of all Trades and Justus Employees on site
  • Daily progress reporting via Procore Daily Log
  • Overall general job site security
  • Monitoring company equipment on site for routine maintenance and servicing
  • Understanding scope requirements relative to Trade Partner and Supplier Commitments
  • Tracking expenses related to General Conditions Allowances
  • Oversight of Justus Construction Laborers and Trim Carpenters as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Seven+ years of building construction supervision experience and/or degree in Construction Management, BCT, Engineering, or related field
  • Three + years of Construction Superintendent experience on Multi Family/Mixed use projects including Site Development.
  • SWPPP experience (Certification a plus)
  • OSHA 10 Hour Certified
  • A valid driver’s license is required and in compliance with Indiana State law requiring automobile insurance
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Proficient with MS Project
  • Strong working knowledge of the entire technical construction process from foundation to final punch out
  • Working knowledge of site work development
  • Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of accounting and cost control procedures
  • Experience with Blueprints, Specifications, Submittals, RFIs, and basic construction documents
  • Experience with construction scheduling including creation of, and adjustments to, a linear critical path schedule
  • Experience performing quality control inspections to all phases of construction
  • Experience with punch out process
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Passionate about delivering high quality products
