Job description

Our client in Eagle Mountain, UT is currently hiring for a Mechanical Project Manager. This position is a fully onsite opportunity supporting a hyperscale data center project and overseeing large-scale MEP mechanical construction scopes valued at $20M+.

Pay - $105,000 - $135,000/year (Depending on years of experience, project size and scope, MEP expertise, leadership experience, financial management experience, and overall qualifications)

Location - Utah (Onsite)

Schedule - Approximately 50 hours per week

(Responsibilities)

• Take ownership of project estimates, scopes, proposals, safety initiatives, and overall project execution while meeting profitability goals.

• Develop, estimate, sell, and manage multiple fast-track mechanical construction projects.

• Oversee large-scale MEP scopes on industrial and data center projects.

• Manage project budgets, forecasting, labor tracking, material cost reporting, owner billings, and financial performance.

• Estimate, price, negotiate, and manage change orders and RFIs.

• Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, field supervision, and subcontractor teams.

• Manage procurement, equipment buyouts, subcontractor agreements, and material deliveries.

• Develop and maintain project schedules and execution plans.

• Review contract drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

• Attend coordination and model review meetings.

• Train, mentor, and supervise Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.

• Ensure compliance with company safety programs and project requirements.

• Support business development efforts and assist in securing future project opportunities.

(Qualification Requirements)

• 1+ year of experience as a Project Manager overseeing MEP scopes on large construction projects OR 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer ready for promotion into a Project Manager role.

• Experience managing industrial construction projects with a minimum scope value of $20M.

• Direct experience managing project financials, forecasting, owner billings, and cost controls.

• Strong technical competency within MEP and mechanical construction scopes.

• In-depth understanding of mechanical installation sequencing.

• Experience mentoring and managing Project Engineers or project team members.

• Experience with change orders, RFIs, and project controls.

• Basic HVAC and plumbing knowledge.

• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work onsite in Utah.

• No industrial construction project experience.

• No MEP project experience.

• No experience managing projects valued at $20M or greater.

• No experience managing project financials, forecasting, or billings.

• Limited understanding of mechanical installation sequencing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $135000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
