Job description

Norcon Industries is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support projects throughout our Northern Territory, including Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming.

This position will work closely with Norcon’s project managers, sales representatives, field personnel, manufacturers, vendors, general contractors, architects, and customers to help keep projects organized and moving forward from contract award through installation and closeout.

The Project Coordinator will assist with project documentation, scheduling, material coordination, communication, and administrative tracking. This is a hybrid position divided between a home office and Norcon’s warehouse office. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently while remaining closely connected with a geographically dispersed team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with manufacturers and vendors regarding pricing, orders, product availability, lead times, shipping, and delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with project managers, warehouse personnel, field crews, general contractors, and customer representatives.
  • Help confirm that required materials and equipment are available before installation.
  • Maintain project information in Norcon’s database system.
  • Monitor upcoming deadlines and proactively follow up on outstanding approvals, documents, materials, and action items.
  • Participate in internal project meetings and provide status updates as requested.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, architects, manufacturers, and internal team members.
  • Assist with installation scheduling and coordination between field personnel and project stakeholders.
  • Support warehouse organization, inventory coordination, material receiving, and project staging when working from the warehouse office.
  • Help identify potential scheduling, documentation, or material issues and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate project manager.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Northern Territory sales team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two or more years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, project management support, or a related role is preferred.
  • Experience in commercial construction, specialty contracting, architectural products, manufacturing, distribution, or building materials is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and electronic document-management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and coordinate multiple active projects with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow through on assignments.
  • Professional, service-oriented approach when communicating with customers and project partners.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work from both a home office and Norcon’s warehouse office according to the established hybrid schedule.
  • Ability to travel occasionally within Utah and to main office in Arizona for meetings, project coordination, training, or other business needs.
  • Experience supporting sales consultants in a commercial construction environment.
  • Experience coordinating manufactured products with extended production and delivery lead times.
  • Experience working with general contractors, architects, school districts, municipalities, or public agencies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a hybrid position that combines remote work from a dedicated home office with regular work from Norcon’s warehouse office. The specific schedule may vary based on project activity, team needs, material deliveries, and operational requirements.

The employee must maintain a professional and dependable home-office environment with reliable internet access. Regular communication and availability during established business hours are required.

Work performed at the warehouse may involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting or moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of important details. This individual understands that successful projects depend on accurate information, timely follow-up, and strong communication.
