Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Job Description

The Construction Project Manager oversees construction projects from award through closeout, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. This role manages all aspects of project planning, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication across commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from initial award through final closeout, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Prepare, review, and refine project estimates, budgets, and cost projections to support accurate financial planning and decision-making.
  • Solicit, receive, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing and alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to maintain timely and efficient project execution.
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, monitoring milestones and adjusting plans to address changes and delays.
  • Utilize Procore for comprehensive project management, including documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and reporting.
  • Track project costs, monitor budget performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to review progress, address issues, and align expectations.
  • Review construction documents, drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Manage change orders, including documentation, pricing, and approvals, to maintain accurate and up-to-date project records.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify quality of work, and support safety compliance on active projects.
  • Resolve project issues proactively by coordinating with stakeholders, addressing conflicts, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, providing timely updates and ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch list management, collection of final documentation, and preparation of turnover packages.
Essential Skills
  • At least 5 years of construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects.
  • Strong estimating and budgeting skills, with the ability to develop and manage detailed project cost projections.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications accurately.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling principles and construction processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with change order management and construction documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Procore for project management, documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction practices and standards.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reviewing and understanding construction drawings.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain project schedules using project scheduling tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is desired.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
