Job description

Bloom is currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Project Manager to serve as the Ownerโ€™s Representative, leading commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. In this role, you will advocate for the ownerโ€™s interests by coordinating multiple prime contractors, controlling costs and schedules, and ensuring successful project delivery.

  • Assist with planning, budgeting, estimating, risk mitigation, and subcontractor bidding. Review documents for constructability and set project schedules.
  • Lead weekly site meetings, monitor schedules/quality, manage RFIs/submittals, negotiate change orders, and review pay applications.
  • Act as the primary owner liaison, resolve stakeholder conflicts, ensure site safety compliance, and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years in commercial construction management (specifically as Construction Manager or Ownerโ€™s Rep).
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read/interpret drawings, manage multiple contractors, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, multi-tasking, and communication abilities.
  • Certifications: PE, RA, CCM, PMP, or OSHA 30.
  • Software: Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, MS Project, or Primavera (P6).
  • Domain Knowledge: Experience with Wisconsin building codes/permitting, LEED/sustainable practices, or municipal/educational/healthcare sectors.
