Own Safety as Priority #1

Direct Data Center Construction Operations 

  • Drive the development and implementation of project plans, installation strategies, and sitelogistics. 

  • Maintain and manage5-weeklookahead schedules, labor forecasts, and daily progress tracking. 

  • Coordinate with Project Management and Procurement to ensuretimelydelivery and staging of materials. 

  • Oversee daily field operations to meet or exceed production goals, budget, and schedule milestones. 

Ensure Technical Excellence & Standards Compliance 

  • Serve as the senior SME for data centerlow voltage, structured cabling, and fiber installations. 

  • Guarantee compliance withANSI/TIA,BICSI,NEBS, and all customer specifications. 

  • Lead testing and commissioning activities includingOTDR, power meter validation, labeling standards, and quality assurance protocols. 

  • Identifydesign gaps, field conflicts, or changes; drive RFIs, clarifications, and scope adjustments. 

Lead, Mentor & Develop Field Teams 

  • Manage large (100+) field technician teams-union or nonunion. 

  • Conduct hiring, training, performance evaluations, and career development for onsite personnel. 

  • Provide technical coaching and mentorship to accelerate crew capabilities and elevate work quality. 

  • Foster a culture grounded in safety, collaboration, accountability, and craftsmanship. 

Be the Customer's TrustedOnsitePartner 

  • Act as the main construction operations liaison for the client. 

  • Participate in customer meetings, site walks, technical discussions, and milestone reviews. 

  • Proactively address challenges around workflow, delays, installation issues, or tactical execution. 

What You Need to Succeed 

Leadership & People Skills 

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor diverse field teams. 

  • Skilled in conflict resolution, workforce planning, and managing competing priorities. 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 

Technical Expertise 

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and bestin classsafety practices. 

  • Mastery oflow voltage, fiber, and structured cabling installation formission criticalenvironments. 

  • Advanced capability in commissioning, system validation, and telecom quality control processes. 

  • Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and construction schedules. 

  • Experienceidentifyingdesign discrepancies and managing technical change control. 

Operational & Digital Skills 

  • Ability to build and manage work activity sequencing and project phasing plans. 

  • Strong computer skills: MS Office, Bluebeam, and construction management platforms. 

  • Ability to quickly learn new construction technologies and workflow tools. 

What You Bring 

  • High School Diploma or GEDrequired. 

  • 3-5+ yearsof supervisory experience on largescale structured cabling or data center construction projects. 

  • Experience managing large, dispersed field teams (100+). 

  • Data centernew buildor retrofit experience strongly preferred. 

  • Experience working withunion telecom crewsand labor compliance preferred. 

  • Preferred certifications: 

  • OSHA30(or ability to obtain within 6 months) 

  • BICSI Technician (TECH) 

  • BICSI RCDD 

Position Details 

  • Daily onsite presencerequired. 

  • Up to15% traveldepending on project needs.
