Position Overview

As an Electrical Superintendent, you will be expected to bring an expertise of industrial electrical installations including, but not limited to, underground duct bank, above ground conduit, cable tray, cable pulling (power circuits, control and instrumentation), terminations (MV, LV, C&I) and installation of electrical equipment. In this role, you will be expected to spend time in the field, ensuring the safety, quality and productivity of the operations under your responsibility

Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force.  Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervisory direction of craft workers managing the performance of safety, quality and production 
  • Planning, scheduling and execution of field operations ensuring compliance with contract specifications, electrical code requirements and quality procedures for your assigned scope of work
  • Coordinate and interface with other superintendents and subcontractors, to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence 
  • Develop a schedule based on provided man hours to ensure timely completion to support the overall project schedule 
  • Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate
  • Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company's non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies
Qualifications
  • Ability to travel and relocate as needed

  • 5+ years of work experience in industrial electrical installation scopes of work.  Candidates for this role are not required to have Superintendent experience, those who have performed as a foreman or general foreman are encouraged to apply. 

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance

  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative 

  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time 

  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity 

  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt 

  • Team player with the ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives 

  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
