Job Title: Construction Manager (Ground Up Multi Family)

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Salary: Up To $170k OTE


I'm recruiting on behalf of a confidential real estate development client seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the successful delivery of ground-up multifamily residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing development team and manage projects from preconstruction through completion while collaborating with architects, consultants, and general contractors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects through design, construction, and final closeout.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, municipalities, and general contractors.
  • Review construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Assist with bidding, contractor procurement, permitting, and owner reporting.
  • Oversee project documentation, construction draws, and closeout activities to ensure successful project delivery.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate Development, or a related field.
  • 5โ€“10 years of experience in construction management, general contracting, or real estate development.
  • Experience with ground-up multifamily residential projects is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, project budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and travel to project sites as needed.
