Job description

HireQuest Direct is seeking Construction Laborers to join our team. This position will be assisting various construction and industrial companies around Murfreesboro and surrounding areas. This position ranges from construction clean up, heavy lifting, loading/unloading, skilled assistant, utilizing tools, ect.

Note: These position are temporary/day labor and could last for the duration of the project. Other positions are available should a project end based on availability.

If you are interested in this position, please call our office or stop by the Hire Quest Direct office in Murfreesboro with two forms of ID Monday-Friday between 10am-2pm! Once onboarded, you will be eligible to start the next day and join us for our daily Dispatch at 5am.

Key Responsibilities: (These duties can vary based on the specific project, site, and the client's requirements.)

  • General Labor
    • Assist in setting up temporary structures, such as scaffolding and barriers.
    • Clean up construction sites by removing trash, debris, and excess materials.
    • Maintain tools and equipment by cleaning
    • Help in the demolition of existing structures or parts of structures and remove debris
    • Unload, Organize and Store construction materials and equipment.
  • Support Tradesman:
    • Support skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with their tasks.
    • Hold tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
  • Digging and Excavation:
    • Dig trenches and holes for foundations, utility lines, and other construction needs.
    • Assist in backfilling and compacting earth.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
    • Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Be able to perform various physical tasks that require strength, stamina, and manual dexterity.
  • Work as part of a team to complete construction projects efficiently.
  • Some sites may be subject to a drug panel and/or 7-year background
