Job Description

This role focuses on constructing and assembling wood wall panels, floor systems, and roof structures for residential or commercial projects. You will work with hand and power tools to measure, cut, and install framing materials according to detailed project specifications and blueprints. This position suits individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced construction environment and who take pride in building safe, structurally sound frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and assemble wood wall panels, floor systems, and roof structures according to project specifications.
  • Measure, mark, and cut lumber and other framing materials accurately using tape measures and cutting tools.
  • Install framing materials, including studs, joists, and trusses, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
  • Assist in raising, positioning, and securing walls, floors, and roof trusses safely and efficiently.
  • Load, unload, and transport lumber and other building materials throughout the job site as needed.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow blueprints, layouts, and instructions from lead carpenters and foremen to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform saw cutting and other cutting tasks to prepare materials for framing.
  • Support general construction activities, including site preparation and clean-up, to keep projects on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, promptly removing debris and hazards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete framing projects on time and to quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors.

Work Environment

The environment is fast-paced and requires adherence to safety practices, including appropriate construction attire and personal protective equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient job site.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
