Responsibilities
As a Danis Estimator you'll:
Provide Input from Start to Finish: Review proposal requirements, provide risk analysis input, determine scopes of work and required contents of estimate. Provide early input on self-perform trades to determine field manpower requirements and availability.
Bring Vision to Life: Generate conceptual, self-perform, hard bid, and GMP estimates for a wide range of complex projects.
Beyond Square Foot Estimating: Utilize historical data from past projects, subcontracts, and productivity analyses to create and refine detailed quantity takeoff and man-hour based estimates.
Ensure Seamless Collaboration: Serve as a dependable resource, supporting preconstruction by assisting in constructability reviews, schedule input, value analysis, and the pursuit of target value delivery.
Qualifications
As an Estimator you'll bring:
Educational Background: Civil Engineering, CM or other construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years construction operations experience in the commercial construction industry.
Project Expertise: At least 3 years of experience estimating projects with values up to $50 mil in the commercial and institutional domains. Self-perform, at-risk GC/CM background is preferred. Ability to estimate the following types of projects is a plus: hospitals/healthcare facilities, corporate office, retail, university, parking garages, assisted living, data centers, advanced mfg., food & beverage mfg., and Life Sciences.
Process Proficiency: Knowledge of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, and cost control systems.
Critical Thinking: Navigate complex challenges, innovate solutions, and make informed decisions that drive project success.
