What You'll Do
  • Support Project Managers in the execution of assigned development and construction projects
  • Assist with project coordination across planning, permitting, construction, and closeout activities
  • Conduct field observations and job walks to verify work is progressing according to project documents and quality expectations
  • Track schedules, milestones, and project deliverables across multiple active projects
  • Identify project risks and communicate issues that may affect schedule, cost, quality, or scope
  • Help manage construction document submittals and support permit issuance processes
  • Coordinate around inspections and verify contractors are meeting inspection scheduling requirements
  • Review project specifications, plans, and requirements to identify inconsistencies or issues requiring follow-up
  • Support monthly payment application and draw review processes to help confirm billing accuracy
  • Assist with preliminary review of cost impacts, change orders, and schedule changes
  • Attend Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and support follow-up as an owner's representative
  • Maintain weekly and monthly project reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Help track contracts, subconsultant coordination, and bid-related documentation
  • Perform quantity take-offs and help prepare Rough Order of Magnitude estimates
  • Build productive relationships with jurisdictional contacts, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in construction, development, project coordination, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical reports, project specifications, and municipal codes
  • Working knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and field coordination
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements related to site safety
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills and professional judgment when working with internal and external partners
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Interest in learning all aspects of the development and construction process, including CEQA and technical studies
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with project or development-related software such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and/or Bluebeam
