Zantech is looking for a talented Graphic Designer/Multimedia Specialist to provide comprehensive multimedia and graphics support for a premier Federal Government website (army.mil), creating visual materials that communicate complex information to both federal stakeholders and a civillian audience. The position requires expertise in advanced design software and video production while maintaining strict adherence to Army.mil visual standards.

General Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  • Complete approximately 80 multimedia projects annually across varying complexity levels
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) for design development
  • Create forms, labels, brochures, slides, logos, posters, graphs, maps, booklets, and exhibit displays
  • Ensure compliance with Visual Guide specifications
  • Manipulate video and integrate graphics, animations, sound, and text into consolidated products
  • Assist in defining requirements and prioritizing graphic design work
  • Coordinate bulk graphics and printing services with ONI Graphics and Print Shop
  • Support both electronic and hard copy format requirements.

Key Duties include, but will not be limited to:

  • Key Responsibilities: Create High-Impact Visual Products
  • Design and develop 80+ multimedia projects annually (85% low complexity, 10% moderate complexity, 5% high complexity)
  • Create technical, promotional, instructional, and informational materials including:
    • Forms, labels, brochures, meeting and conference handouts
    • Slides, logos, posters, graphs, maps, booklets
    • Large exhibit displays and graphical design elements for websites
    • Images and other presentation aids in electronic and hard copy formats
  • Utilize Industry-Leading Tools
  • Use government-provided advanced desktop publishing, page layout, and graphics software including:
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe InDesign
    • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Design and develop textual and media compositions to communicate complex information
  • Video and Multimedia Integration
    • Manipulate video and integrate graphic images, animations, sound, text and other video into consolidated and seamless video products
    • Produce multimedia content that enhances user understanding and makes information easier to consume
  • Collaboration and Standards Compliance
    • Ensure all designs comply with the Visual Guide (colors for charts/maps, classification markings placement, etc.)
    • Attend project planning and execution meetings to define requirements and prioritize graphic design work
    • Collaborate with customers to translate complex ideas into clear visual communication
    • Coordinate bulk graphics and printing services

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:

  • Minimum of 3-8 years of relevant graphics/multimedia design experience, preferably in government or intelligence environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and present complex information clearly.

Required Certifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Visual Communications, or related creative field
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects
    • Avid Certified Professional for video editing
    • Apple Certified Pro - Final Cut Pro
    • Certified Digital Marketing Professional required

Required Security Clearance:

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a NACI, per contract requirements.
