Position Summary
Power Connector, LLC is entering a new and exciting phase of growth and opportunity filled with innovative and progressive thinking and strategizing. In December 2025, Power Connector was acquired by the Amphenol Corporation network. With this historic transition comes the need to enhance and grow the company through restructuring, reorganization, modernization, optimization, and business development. We, at Power Connector, are responsible for revolutionizing the company and securing and expanding its global connection.
Power Connector's Business Development Sales Specialist is instrumental in growing and developing the business by driving expansion with new products by penetrating new industries and managing key customer relationships that will result in securing new business and contributing to the corporate growth objectives. This position while ensuring that current order bookings are stable and increasing. This position's primary focus is to execute the team's strategic plans for business development, growth, and sustainability. This position will report to the Sales Manager and will be an integral part of the Power Connector sales organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field

Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience in Sales, Business, or relevant field
  • Technical sales experience within the electronics industry, preferably connector sales

Knowledge:
  • Ability to create proposals and find solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Understanding of CRM systems and best practices
  • Experience meeting monthly sales goals
  • Experience with connectors or within the industry

Skills:
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skill, technical and nontechnical concepts
  • Ability to work within a team to meet quotas
  • Ability to work effectively under demanding and dynamic environments, multi-task, and meet deadlines

Job Responsibilities
  • Cultivate key customer relationships to identify new business opportunities and create opportunities to expand business.
  • Maintain current customer relationships and identify opportunities within customer network for growth.
  • Fully comprehend customer requirements and provide a structure and strategy to win new business.
  • Contribute to an exceptional customer experience from quotation to the shipping of the product by working with the account manager to provide a means of clear and consistent communication to assure the highest satisfaction level and secure future recurring business.
  • Travel up to 45% to meet with potential customers and establish business relationships via trade shows, conferences, customer visits, etc.
  • Receive and assess Request for Quotes, negotiate contracts, and close agreements to maximize profits by preparing accurate and competitive quotations in the Epicor system.
  • Validate customer demographics if they are the end-user, contract manufacturer, distributor or broker and obtain the program information for the requirement.
  • Review part number history, customer buying trends, researching competitor offerings while maximizing the gross margin on every Epicor quotation to close the sale.
  • Highlighting the value proposition of the company's product offerings to potential clients.
  • Develop a strong understanding of company products and services to engage with current customers and potential customers on new product potential.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager to provide details on current orders and your customers' sales forecast.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business position and competition to ensure business remains competitive.
  • Identify new products introductions by pursuing opportunities with customers by providing solutions with new products to solve their program requirements and building partnerships to increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to expand new product introduction by contacting current and new potential customers received from events or cold calling.

Other responsibilities, initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required.
