Job description

SESAC is looking for an Account Resolution Representative to join our team in Nashville. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, calm under pressure, enjoys problem solving, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

In this role you will contact customers with delinquent accounts and work with them to achieve positive, long-term outcomes. In some cases, you are re-establishing the value of the license to motivate payment of past due fees. In other situations, the opportunity is to assist in more administrative related updates that support account resolution and customer retention.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Regularly contact assigned delinquent accounts via telephone, email and written correspondence.
  • Determine why Licensee has not submitted payment.
  • Address any Licensee questions or concerns which may include re-educating Licensee about the need, value, and benefit of a SESAC license.
  • Provide any required documentation the Licensee may need to substantiate or legitimize the delinquent balance.
  • Work out mutually agreeable terms to resolve the delinquency.
  • When necessary, locate new contact information for Licensees using internet search, social media, as well as secretary of state and liquor board sites.
  • Update account information as necessary and when it is determined that there has been a change of ownership locate contact information for the previous owner to obtain payment of the remaining delinquent balance.
  • Perform administrative duties as necessary and manage projects as assigned.


What Makes You Qualified:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to solve problems and adept at conflict resolution.
  • Ability to stay organized and motivated.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage workload.
  • Ability to conduct basic account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Oracle Advanced Collections, and Salesforce is helpful but not required.
  • General understanding of U.S. Copyright Law and SESAC license agreements is helpful but not required.


This is a hybrid role that will require you to commute to our Nashville office a minimum of three days a week.
