Our Emergency Department is a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center recognized for exceptional teamwork and rapid, high-acuity care. Supported 24/7 by an experienced on-shift supervisor, along with a dedicated multidisciplinary team including surgical technicians, emergency service technicians, unit clerks, pharmacy staff, social workers, transport personnel, and our own team of attending physicians and providers. This is a prime location for nurses seeking continuous learning, professional growth, and the chance to thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

How you'll contribute

A Clinical Support CST who excels in this role:

  • Works closely with all emergency services staff

  • Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and visitors

  • Performs aseptic surgical techniques while functioning as a surgical assistant for trauma alerts/procedures

  • Responsible for the proper collection of most specimens used in laboratory analysis within the scope of their knowledge and experience (Phlebotomy, POC testing)

  • Performs point of care testing, and follows appropriate quality control procedures

  • Assists with the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as appropriate including the transporting of patients throughout the facility

What we're looking for 

  •  High school diploma

  • Graduate of a Program in Surgical Technology.

  • CST certification required for employees hired after October 29,2020 or practiced surgical technology as their primary function in another healthcare facility at any time during the two-years prior to October 29, 2020.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6-months of hire.

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Preferred: One year of experience
