Principal Concrete Engineer - Long Beach, CA
Twining, an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company with over 120 years of history, is seeking a Principal Concrete Engineer for its Twining Concrete Insight - Concrete Engineering group. The offices and laboratories of Twining are located throughout California. The geographical placement of the candidate will be subject to discussion.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for various specialty concrete engineering, material evaluations, production and construction troubleshooting, and forensic investigation tasks, as well as project management.
  • Responsible for service and business development in the field of value concrete engineering and specialized testing.
  • Responsible for report preparation and client support.
  • Responsible for project specific proposal preparations.
Required Competencies:
  • Degree in civil engineering or concrete engineering and materials science.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete materials science and applied engineering.
  • Experience with concrete production and construction practices.
  • Experience with field material condition assessment and forensic investigations of concrete structures and pavements.
  • Experience with laboratory evaluations and tests of concrete and materials for concrete.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and clients.
