Big-D Construction has an opportunity for a Concrete Project Engineer to join our team of construction professionals in Salt Lake City, UT.

The Concrete Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of concrete construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about construction and concrete work.

Key responsibilities include

  • Review and interpret contract documents, plans, and specifications to support project execution
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination of concrete operations
  • Prepare, track, and manage submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and project documentation
  • Support procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with field crews to ensure work aligns with design and quality standards
  • Assist in maintaining and updating project schedules
  • Develop and utilize 3D models of concrete structures for planning and coordination
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays
  • Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and suppliers

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and details
  • Understanding of concrete construction methods, sequencing, and best practices
  • Experience with submittals, RFIs, and procurement processes
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in construction software and 3D modeling tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, or similar)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications
