Job description

As a Concrete Superintendent at Thompson, your primary responsibility will be to manage on-site concrete operations by directing self-performed crews, subcontractors, and other project personnel.
Typical duties include:
  • Directing and leading multiple crews spread across different projects
  • Traveling to jobsites and ensuring project deadlines are being met
  • Conducting regular inspections of work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Developing cost-effective plans and timelines for project completion
  • Creating budgets and proposals for material, equipment and labor force
  • Obtaining proper permits, licenses, and other important documentation
  • Working with Project Engineers to submit invoices, warranties & waivers
  • Identifying and addressing any and all safety violations or deficiencies
  • Providing regular updates to support staff and company leadership
  • Generates work schedules for crew members and subcontractors
  • Conducts daily meetings with Foremen and other Project Leaders
  • Conducting post-project evals to identify "lessons learned" for the future

Requirements:
  • A min of 3-5 years of project management experience (or relevant degree)
  • Must have structural and vertical concrete experience
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Bluebeam, ProCore, etc.)
  • Ability to operate various pieces of construction equipment
  • OSHA 30 Certification (will train, if necessary)
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (will train, if necessary)

Shift Details: 1st Shift (work hours vary, depending on project)
