Location: Nashville, TN
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour (DOE)
Employment Type: Part-Time / On-Call / Event-Based
Schedule: Shift dates and times vary based on event needs. Day, Swing, Overnight, Weekday, and Weekend shifts may be available.
Position Overview
Treston Security Services is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused On-Call Event Security Officers to support a variety of special events throughout the Nashville area.
This position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible, event-based work with opportunities to work concerts, festivals, sporting events, corporate functions, conventions, and other high-profile gatherings. Officers will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment while providing exceptional customer service to guests, clients, and event staff.
Essential Job Duties
  • Monitor assigned posts and maintain a visible security presence.
  • Verify credentials and control access to designated areas.
  • Conduct foot patrols throughout event venues and surrounding areas.
  • Assist with crowd management, line control, and guest direction.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or policy violations.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and guest requests.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and required documentation.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while interacting with attendees, vendors, and event personnel.
  • Follow all post orders, company policies, and supervisor instructions.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow officers, supervisors, and event management.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Tennessee Security Guard License (or the ability to obtain one if required by assignment).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous security experience.
  • Event, concert, venue, hospitality, or customer service experience.
  • Experience with access control, crowd management, or public-facing roles.
  • Strong observation and report-writing skills.
