Hit Parader Live
Hit Parader Live is a rock & roll-inspired live music venue, nightlife destination, and hospitality concept located in the heart of downtown Nashville. Built in partnership with the legacy of Hit Parader Magazine and the greater Sumerian Records family, the venue blends live performances, artist culture, elevated food & beverage, fan experiences, nightlife, and special events into one immersive environment.
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and culture-driven Talent Buyer & Event Coordinator to help grow the venue's live entertainment programming and private event business.
Position Overview
The Talent Buyer & Event Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing and booking live entertainment, managing artist and promoter relationships, coordinating public programming, and executing private events and venue buyouts from inquiry through settlement.
This role is ideal for someone who understands both the creative and operational sides of live entertainment and hospitality. The ideal candidate has experience working in venues, clubs, festivals, agencies, or entertainment companies and thrives in fast-paced environments.
This is a highly collaborative role working alongside venue operations, marketing, production, hospitality, and ownership teams.
Core Responsibilities:
Talent Buying & Live Entertainment
  • Source and book local, regional, and touring artists, DJs, tribute acts, specialty entertainment, and nightlife programming
  • Build and maintain relationships with booking agents, artist managers, promoters, labels, and independent artists
  • Negotiate artist offers, guarantees, door splits, hospitality riders, and performance agreements
  • Assist in building strategic programming calendars designed to maximize attendance and revenue
  • Coordinate artist advances including:
    • Technical needs
    • Hospitality requirements
    • Load-in/load-out logistics
    • Marketing assets
    • Ticketing information
    • Guest lists and VIP requests
  • Manage show settlements and post-event reporting
  • Help identify opportunities for:
    • Official after parties
    • Artist appearances
    • Fan engagement activations
    • Brand partnerships
    • Special events tied to major Nashville concerts and festivals

Event Coordination & Venue Buyouts
  • Coordinate public and private events including:
    • Corporate buyouts
    • VIP events
    • Brand activations
    • Label showcases
    • Listening parties
    • Industry mixers
    • Fan experiences
    • Holiday parties
    • Special dinners and receptions
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients from inquiry to execution
  • Build Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, and event notes for internal teams
  • Coordinate with:
    • FOH management
    • Culinary team
    • Bar leadership

    • Production
    • Marketing
  • Conduct venue walkthroughs and client meetings
  • Ensure smooth execution day-of-event
  • Assist with event recaps, billing, and follow-up communications

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in:
    • Talent buying

    • Hospitality entertainment management
  • Existing relationships within music, nightlife, hospitality, or entertainment industries preferred
  • Understanding of live event economics, ticketing, artist deals, and hospitality operations

  • Experience with event platforms, ticketing systems, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and project management software
  • Nights, weekends, and event-based scheduling required
