Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Since its inception, Insomniac's events have taken place in 13 countries across five continents. The company's premiere annual event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world's largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525,000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.

THE ROLE

Insomniac is seeking a Producer for Concerts to take a key leadership role in the planning and execution of all concerts. This position partners with the Promoter and Senior Director, Concerts & Branded shows to create the vision of the brand and manage the team that is responsible for bringing the event to life. This position reports to the Senior Producer. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

EVENT CONCEPTS

  • Partner with the Concert Promoter to lead the concert team to produce the highest quality in the industry

  • Responsible to ensure adequate planning and execution of all on-site production operations, staffing including: security, health & safety, box office, traffic, parking, cleaning, sanitation, VIP/Skydeck, artist compound and transportation

  • Partner with CAD designer to create concert and special event layouts

  • Create agenda and lead team in weekly Production & Operations meetings

  • Work on special projects such as the Electric Mile that combines our large event planning capabilities with new ideas to drive additional unique events and cater to a wider demographic

VENDOR RELATIONS & BUDGET MANAGEMENT

  • Develop cost effective budgets by obtaining best valued vendor bids and negotiations

  • Partner with Promoter and finance lead to create budget and then manage all production related department heads with planning and spending per budget

  • Work with local agencies in planning phase and throughout event and coordinate group all agency meetings to include these agencies and key operational leads from Insomniac

  • Serve as main point of contact for venue

TECHNICAL NEEDS

  • Issue event org chart and confirmation sheet with project manager

  • Manage event capacities and ensure safety and comfort of headliners are always considered while also creating best possible experience

  • Ensure on-site staff are adequately prepared for emergencies

EVENT OPERATIONS

  • Oversee and ensure special permits are handled for each event

  • Assign Pressure Point Managers for key headliner facing points to ensure best experience

  • Create and issue the Concert Operations & Emergency Action Plan

  • Ensure all on-site structures meet Insomniac safety standards

  • Frequent travel will be required (economy)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years' experience in live event planning and producing

  • Proven ability to manage teams for planning and building large-scale events or music festivals

  • Proven ability to develop and execute staff training sessions

  • Sterling reputation for excellence in the required role with at least five top notch references

  • Proficiency in spreadsheets

  • Must be motivated with an "Everything is possible" attitude.

  • Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and requests against multiple tight deadlines and timelines at once

  • May work in drastic temperature climates

  • Position will expose candidate to sensitive company information and so must maintain strict confidentiality

  • Must exercise utmost discretion in dealing with staff, vendors and business associates in dealing with sensitive matters

  • Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours and travel to events, as required, to meet deadlines

Salary Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 USD
