Job Description:

We are now accepting applications for Winery Associates at Jackson-Triggs Winery. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a passion for wine, who is outgoing, enjoys meeting new people, is an effective and dynamic communicator, and can deliver excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will havesome experience with wine sales.

As a Winery Associate (GSA), you'll be the face of the Estate: welcoming guests, guiding tastings and tours, supporting our Lounge & Entourage Room service, and jumping into high-energy events. From relaxed afternoons on the patio to big summer concert nights in our 600-seat amphitheatre, no two shifts are the same-and that's the fun of it.

What you'll doGuest experience + wine
  • Create warm, fun, professional guest experiences during tastings and retail purchases
  • Deliver entertaining and informative tours, including structured tastings for groups
  • Share wine stories, answer guest questions, and help guests find their perfect bottle
  • Support sales goals with great hospitality, product knowledge, and confident recommendations
Food service (Lounge & Entourage Room)
  • Provide friendly, efficient service in our Lounge & Grill (casual and elevated moments)
  • Support food running, table touches, resetting, guest flow, and service standards
  • Assist with food handling tasks as required while following safe food practices (handwashing, temperature awareness, cross-contamination prevention)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas (front-of-house and support areas)
Events (special events + amphitheatre concerts)

You'll support events across the property-from setup to guest experience to teardown-including examples such as:

  • Summer concert series in our 600-seat amphitheatre featuring Canadian artists
  • Seasonal festivals and long weekends (high energy, high volume, great vibes)
  • Wine club / member events and feature tastings
  • Food & wine pairing experiences
  • Private events and large group bookings
Retail + operations
  • Use a computer-operated point-of-sale system and complete opening/closing duties
  • Keep shelves stocked (wine + giftware), displays looking sharp, and product ready to sell
  • Help keep the Estate guest-ready with general housekeeping and restocking
What you'll bring
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Retail experience (must-have)
  • A team-first mindset and guest-first attitude
  • Motivation to exceed sales targets (you like goals and you like winning)
  • Strong judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Responsible, trustworthy, and reliable
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Previous serving experience is an asset
  • Fluency in French, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese is an asset
  • Wine knowledge is an asset but not required (training is provided)
  • Food Handler certification is an asset (training/support provided as needed)
  • Availability for flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

Compensation: $18/hr + Gratuity
