Nurse Practitioner (NPs) specialist is a participant in a 12-month paid fellowship designed for newly (18 months or less) certified and licensed NPs. The Fellowship program is structured to give mentored clinical time and dedicated learning opportunities. The NP Fellow will gain broad exposure to primary and integrated mental health care and engage in skills training, didactic seminars, supervised and independent clinical practice, interprofessional education and collaboration, professional development activities and enhance leadership skills. This one-year fellowship is full-time employment as a trainee within UNMC and is designed for NP graduates who aspire to practice in rural and underserved areas of Nebraska.
