Job description

Job Summary:
TekSynap is a fast-growing high-tech company that understands both the pace of technology today and the need to have a comprehensive well planned information management environment. The Systems Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers and performing systems security administration functions.
Responsibilities:
• Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
• Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
• Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
• May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
• HS, 9-11 years of relevant experience; BS, 3-5 years; MS, 0-3
• One of the following DoD 8570/ CS-NET-451 certifications is required: Security+ CE, SSCP, CySA +, GSEC
Preferred:
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• MCSA / MCSE
• RHCSA / RHCE
• Linux+
• VMware VCP
• Nutanix NCP
