LTS is seeking a System Administrator - Endpoint Engineering to join our team and support a program with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role is responsible for managing and supporting enterprise Windows endpoints, device management systems, and endpoint security tools. The ideal candidate has experience supporting enterprise Windows environments, endpoint management, and systems administration. This position is onsite at the client offices in Albany, NY.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and support enterprise Windows endpoints, device management systems, and endpoint security tools.
  • Maintain operating system (OS) configurations.
  • Deploy updates and software, enforcing compliance, and ensuring device performance.
  • Troubleshoot, log analysis and debugging to quickly resolve user reported issues and maintain a secure, reliable endpoint environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • 4-7 years of experience engineering robust solutions for large-scale deployment of software using OS deployment technologies such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
  • 4-7 years of experience providing SCCM administration and patch management support services for enterprise servers and client workstations. Troubleshoot and resolve SCCM issues related to server/workstation patches and configurations by supporting, but not limited to, scheduled maintenance events.
  • 4-7 years of experience implementing, updating, and maintaining enterprise level configuration management automated software and security configuration applications and packages to support all network systems.
  • 4-7 years of experience analyzing the current enterprise configuration management implementation and adjusting the administrative environment as necessary to continuously enhance the effectiveness of deployments and patching levels.
  • 4-7 years of experience providing Tier 3 support services as required to maintain and troubleshoot enterprise level products and services, including hardware (servers, clients, mobile devices) and software (Microsoft AD, Exchange, SCCM, SCOM) used to support systems worldwide.
  • Experience validating deployment plans for compliance of the enterprise server and workstation software and security updates.
  • Experience troubleshooting sites experiencing configuration management problems and documenting any known issues or inefficiencies.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience at the Department of Veterans Affairs is preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Remote troubleshooting: Remotely access government managed systems to diagnose and resolve SCCM related endpoint issues.
  • Ticket management: Manage and prioritize trouble ticket queues; perform trend and root cause analysis; document all actions in the ticketing system.
  • Enterprise monitoring: Monitor assets using SCCM, SCOM, and related tools to ensure service availability and restore systems to normal operation after maintenance windows.
  • Outage reporting: Prepare and distribute Situational Reports and Executive Summaries for critical service outages when required.
  • Technical communication: Communicate clearly with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams; lead technical discussions and present briefing materials aligned with VA requirements. Provide a status report before and after remediation actions are engineered and executed.
  • Understand application deployments and configuration within Microsoft Intune.
  • Participate in co-management or hybrid scenarios if applicable.

Pay Range
$116,475—$126,962 USD
