ABOUT THE ROLE: This is a hybrid role based in Columbus, Ohio. Candidates must reside in the Columbus area. In-office attendance will align with the department's schedule, which is determined collaboratively by the team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: To perform this role successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Contribute to the design, configuration, and optimization of enterprise, data center, and cloud-integrated network architectures
  • Engineer and support application delivery services using F5 platforms, including load balancing, traffic management, and application security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and application-delivery issues using data-driven analysis, observability tools, and automated workflows
  • Leverage APIs, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code principles to automate network provisioning, configuration changes, and operational workflows
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical network and application services
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve network and application delivery documentation, diagrams, and runbooks
  • Collaborate with security, cloud, DevOps, and application teams to support system integrations and digital transformation initiatives
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI-assisted monitoring, intelligent traffic management, and next-generation automation platforms
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with routing and tunneling protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and GRE
  • Hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls, including Palo Alto and Cisco
  • Experience designing or supporting F5 technologies (e.g., BIG-IP, LTM, WAF, or related application delivery and security services)
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Python, or similar frameworks
  • Working knowledge of APIs, scripting, and network programmability (RESTful APIs, JSON, automation workflows)
  • Experience with or strong interest in AI-driven operations tools, emerging networking technologies, and modern workflow automation
