Overview:

We are developing a new product to help companies to shorten the design cycle of electrical airplanes by an order of magnitude. From the initial conceptualization to the final aerodynamic database, the new product will streamline the entire design and simulation process by leveraging parameterized geometry, automatic meshing, and ultra-fast CFD solver- Flow360. You will be joining this product group at its earliest stage and will be able to shape this cutting-edge tool while helping customers design their electrical airplanes.

The CAD Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical success of our customers in preparing parameterized CFD-friendly geometries. Working closely with customers to understand their design, you will propose best practices to simplify and parameterize the existing and new geometry, help customers meet their design objectives as well as improve their workflow.

Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with clients are critical to success in this fast-paced and broad engineering role. Responsibilities:
Support customer prepare CFD-friendly watertight geometries

Support customer generate parameterized geometries for aerodynamic shape optimization


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

B.S. or advanced degrees in Aerospace, Mechanical or other related Engineering fields

Hand-on experiences with CAD softwares

Programming skills in Python

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Experience with generating parameterized geometries using commercial or open-source software (e.g. CATIA, OpenVSP, ESP and etc.)

Experience with XFOIL and XROTOR

Experience with unstructured surface mesh generation for complex geometry

Programming skills in C++

Knowledge of common design/optimization processes, objectives, and constraints for industrial applications

Excellent communication, organization, time management, and presentation skills

Ability to learn new skills and adapt to customer application needs
