Description
At Fuss & O'Neill, we're more than a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm - we're a team driven by collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced CAD Manager to lead and elevate CAD/BIM standards, workflows, and support across the organization.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly technical and collaborative professional to shape firmwide CAD operations, influence design technology strategy, and support project teams across multiple disciplines and offices. If you enjoy solving complex production challenges, mentoring teams, and improving design workflows, we'd love to connect with you.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing AutoCAD and Civil 3D training and technical support to staff across the organization
  • Partner with subject matter experts to improve workflows for additional platforms including Revit, MicroStation, OpenRoads, BIM, and GIS
  • Troubleshoot advanced CAD/BIM production issues and coordinate solutions with IT and software partners
  • Maintain and improve documentation for standards, procedures, and workflows while ensuring consistency across teams
  • Support project teams with setup, file organization, and production best practices
  • Help drive continuous improvement initiatives related to design technology, production efficiency, and quality standards

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Architecture, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of CAD/BIM design or management experience within an engineering, architecture, or consulting environment
  • 3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred
  • Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Experience developing CAD standards, templates, scripts, and workflows
  • Working knowledge of BIM platforms, MicroStation, OpenRoads, Revit, and GIS tools is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple offices and disciplines
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the week to various Fuss & O'Neill offices

This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds-collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. We're committed to supporting work-life balance while maintaining strong team connection and project delivery.
