Maintains lab equipment, tools and vehicles. Monitors students during laboratory sessions and provides tutorial services to students to enhance academic progress and achievement in Automotive Technology courses
Reporting Relationship
Direct reporting relationship to the Dean, Career and Technical Education
Essential Responsibilities
  1. Ensures that everyone present in the laboratory is adhering to the appropriate lab and industry safety standards.
  2. Communicates with instructional staff and/or department coordinator as appropriate.
  3. Assists with coordination of customer vehicle repairs
  4. Helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Automotive lab.
  5. Assists in restocking consumables during and between courses.
  6. Assists in preparing simulation displays including the assembly and disassembly of lab equipment and automotive components.
  7. Assists in maintaining and repairing lab equipment as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications
  1. Some knowledge of Automotive Technology or experience working in a laboratory environment or automotive repair facility.
  2. Literate in reading, writing, math and computation skills as well as computer literate or willing to learn.
  3. High school diploma or equivalent.
  4. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. One year of experience in Automotive Technology.
  2. One year of experience working in an automotive repair facility.
