Echo/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist
PRN I First Shift
Cardiovascular Lab I Lexington, KY
The Noninvasive Lab is a specialized department within a healthcare facility dedicated to performing diagnostic tests and supporting improved quality of life for patients. This unit, composed of registered nurses, nuclear medicine technicians, sonographers, and exercise physiologists, provides high-quality care to assist physicians in diagnosing, managing, and treating cardiovascular conditions. Additionally, our Cardiac Rehab program helps patients recover and improve their heart health following a cardiac event.
Description:
  • Assist Cardiovascular Lab Coordinator with the appropriate patient care management and adjusting the daily operations to meet the needs of the changing working environment in the Cardiovascular Lab of Non-Invasive Cardiology
  • Assist Areas of Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound
  • Strong expertise in the clinical applications in Echo and/or Vascular
  • Act as a technical resource for other staff and will assist in overseeing training of staff
  • Perform Echo and/or Vascular related procedures within scope of boards certifications, computer processing and related techniques, and producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a license independent practitioner
  • Works with Electronic Health Record (EHR) team, Director of Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Services on changes/needs for the (EHR)
  • Keeps all licenses for facility current and maintains compliance with all standards.
  • Assists Echo Medical Director and Echo Vascular Coordinator with writing policy and procedures for new procedures.

Requirements:
  • Rotating Call, Rotating Holidays, and Rotating Weekends.
  • Associate degree.
  • Registered Vascular/Echocardiography Ultrasound ARDMS or CCI board certifications.
  • Additional Certification; must obtain Secondary Modality within 2 years.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
