Overview

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX.

Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC's and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of electrical and HVAC engineers to create/update Architectural (A sheets), HVAC (M Sheets) and/or Electrical (E sheets) for the Issued for Approval, As-built and Closeout Submittal drawing sets.
  • Be the PM/face/voice of a team of engineers during meetings/calls for specific projects. Attend and Lead Engineering Meetings/Calls with the Client or with Cummings Integrated Manufacturing Operations team. Accurately communicate team progress, needs and answer questions as necessary.
  • Create standards for the Integrated manufacturing HVAC designs and HVAC controls for modular e-houses.
  • Final review of the Issued for Approval, As-built and Closeout Submittal drawings. Ensure all plans are completed per the clients' scope/ specifications and applicable codes/ jurisdictional requirements.
  • Ensure HVAC and Electrical design adhere to national/local codes and follows all clients needs and specifications.
  • Verify heat load calculations for each project and ensure proper sizing of HVAC equipment.
  • Create/Verify CFD analysis for each project and ensure HVAC design meets heat load requirements.
  • Coordinate with HVAC, Enclosure and Electrical vendors and suppliers to choose the best engineered system for each specific project.
  • Keep Engineering Manager in the loop on design issues, schedule impacts and resolutions.

  • Keep Electrical Engineering in the loop on electrical requirements and spacing needs for HVAC equipment.

  • Answer questions for the Cummings Integrated Manufacturing production/operations team.

  • Help innovate the modular building HVAC design. 

  • Be available for design meetings in case Engineering Manager requires additional expertise or support during design meetings with client/project team.

  • Be available for occasional site visits or industry conferences to build a reputation and continually learn what's happening within the industry.

Qualifications
  • Minimun 5-7 years experience 
  • Degree in Mechnical Engineering preferred 
  • PE Licence preferred 
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Leadership/Mentoring experience preferred
