What degree do you need to work on computer hardware?

A career in computer hardware installation typically requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent; however, an associate's degree in computer technology, information technology, or a related field can improve job prospects. Technical skills, certifications like CompTIA A+, and hands-on experience are also important for success in this role.

What are some common challenges faced during computer hardware installation, and how can they be addressed?

One of the most common challenges in computer hardware installation is compatibility issues between components, such as ensuring the motherboard supports the chosen CPU or RAM type. Technicians also often encounter difficulties with cable management in tight spaces and diagnosing hardware that fails to initialize correctly.
